About Hiroshima University
One of Japan's largest comprehensive research universities, Hiroshima University was founded in 1949 — four years after the atomic bombing — in the symbolic City of Peace and history. Today it stands among Japan's top global universities, committed to advancing humankind's well-being through a free and peaceful society, cutting-edge research, and world-class education delivered in both Japanese and English.
